Weird Fantasy

The portfolio by James Cawthorn is from his prime period (1958-1963) when—with a vision as unique as Mervyn Peake's—he defined the artwork for the Sword & Sorcery genre. This issue contains photographs of HP Lovecraft which are, we believe, the first of this remarkable author to have been printed in England.
